Carpets of the Inner Circle is a family gallery in San Anselmo, twenty minutes north of San Francisco. We are not a marketplace and not a warehouse - we are one accountable expert who buys, washes, restores, appraises, and stands behind every rug we sell.
Our philosophy
The rug as art.
Our focus is the rug as art - textile nourishment for the soul. The tribal, village, and urban workshop pieces we present are far more than utilitarian floor or wall coverings; they are windows and doorways into other worlds, glimpses of a people and a culture that is rapidly disappearing.
Many of these pieces stay within the arms of a family for generations. That belief is why we also offer appraisal, restoration, and hand-washing - expertise that grew, originally, from a simple desire to keep the cleanest inventory in the business.
